2. Who needs to file Meals Tax?

Each restaurant, convenience store, caterer, etc. that sells prepared foods will need to file a Registration Form with the Commissioner of the Revenue.

3. Where and when do you file Meals Tax?

Every business shall be responsible for collecting and remitting the Meals Tax of 4% on all prepared foods (in addition to the State Sales Tax). The 4% Meals Tax is remitted to the County Treasurer on or before the 20th of each month for the money collected for the preceding month.
