As such, he cannot provide legal advice or opinions to citizens, or private individuals. 1. How do I speak with the County Attorney about my traffic ticket or criminal case?: All traffic and criminal matters are handled by the Orange County Commonwealth Attorney's Office which can be reached at (540) 672-4848.

The Orange County Law Library can also be accessed in the Orange County Courthouse located at 110 North Madison Rd.

What is the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)?: This is a Virginia law that allows citizens to obtain copies of almost all documents produced by the Orange County government, and it also requires that all meetings of County elected officials, and meetings of County boards and commissions be open to the public.
